Hi I'm Leah!

I've had a camera in my hands and a love for photography in my heart since I was 18 years old. For me, photography has never been simply about taking a beautiful picture. It's about capturing the laughter, the connection, the little details, and the genuine moments that make your story yours.

As a mom of two wonderful boys, I know just how quickly life moves. The little hands grow, the milestones come and go, and before we know it, the moments we thought we would remember forever become memories. Being able to preserve those moments for other families is something I never take for granted.

Photography with Heart

Before pursing photography full time, I spent almost 15 years working at Children's hospital of Pittsburgh, including time caring for children and families on the cardiac unit. Although I have since retired from the hospital, those children and families will forever hold a very special place in my heart.  

That chapter of my life continues to be part of the heart behind Erwin Photography. I remain committed to giving back and supporting cardiac babies and their families through my photography business. Knowing that something I love can also make a difference for others makes this journey even more meaningful.

I have always believed in affordable photography for everyday families- not because I place less value on my work, but because I place so much value on your memories. Professional photography shouldn't feel reserved only for once-in-a-lifetime occasions or out of reach for the families who simply want to remember this season of their lives. My goal is to provide beautiful, heartfelt photography and an experience you'll treasure while keeping those memories accessible to the families I serve. 

When you step in front of my camera, I want you to feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely yourself. Some of my favorite photographs happen in the in-between moments- the real smiles, belly laughs, quiet glances, tiny details, and genuine connections you didn't even realize I was capturing. Because at the end of the day, these aren't just photographs they're pieces of your story. They're moments you can hold onto. They're memories captured from the heart.
